தமிழக அரசியலில் மிகப்பெரிய அரசியல் மாற்றமாக பார்க்கப்படும் அமைச்சரவை விரிவாக்கத்தை முதலமைச்சர் சி. ஜோசப் விஜய் தலைமையிலான அரசு இன்று அதிகாரப்பூர்வமாக நிறைவு செய்துள்ளது. கூட்டணி கட்சிகளான காங்கிரஸ், விடுதலை சிறுத்தைகள் கட்சி (VCK), இந்திய யூனியன் முஸ்லிம் லீக் (IUML) ஆகியவற்றுக்கும் அமைச்சரவை பொறுப்புகள் வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.
2026 சட்டமன்ற தேர்தலுக்கு பிறகு தமிழகத்தில் உருவான TVK தலைமையிலான அரசு தற்போது தனது கூட்டணி அமைப்பை மேலும் வலுப்படுத்தும் நடவடிக்கையாக இந்த அமைச்சரவை விரிவாக்கத்தை மேற்கொண்டுள்ளது. இதன் மூலம் தமிழக அரசியலில் பல ஆண்டுகளாக நிலவி வந்த அரசியல் அமைப்பில் புதிய மாற்றங்கள் ஏற்பட்டுள்ளதாக அரசியல் நிபுணர்கள் கருத்து தெரிவித்து வருகின்றனர்.
கிட்டத்தட்ட 59 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு பிறகு காங்கிரஸ் கட்சி மீண்டும் தமிழ்நாடு அமைச்சரவையில் இடம்பிடித்துள்ளது. அதேபோல் VCK மற்றும் IUML கட்சிகளும் முதல்முறையாக விஜய் தலைமையிலான அரசில் அமைச்சரவை பொறுப்புகளை பெற்றுள்ளன.
முதலமைச்சர் விஜய் தலைமையிலான TVK அரசு தற்போது கூட்டணி அரசாக செயல்பட்டு வருகிறது. இந்த அமைச்சரவை விரிவாக்கத்தின் மூலம் சமூக பிரதிநிதித்துவம், இளைஞர் பிரதிநிதித்துவம் மற்றும் பிராந்திய சமநிலை ஆகியவற்றை அரசு கவனத்தில் கொண்டுள்ளதாக கூறப்படுகிறது.
